In the book Of mice and men there is a mentally disabled man named Liney who travels around with a man named George. George takes care of Liney and gets him jobs and keeps him out of trouble. But Liney accidently killed a woman and George killed him.It was hard for george to kill Liney because him and Liney had been friends for along time and he would miss him. After George killed Liney he was very sad and missed him.

George made the right choice to kill Liney because if he did not kill Liney then Curley would have shot him in the gut and watch him slowly die.George spared him a slow and painful death full of agony and pain.Liney had accidentally killed Curley's wife and Curley wanted him to suffer.Some people think that George could have ran away again with LIney and hide somewhere else. But if they would have done that Liney would have killed someone else. Liney has been told by George many time to be carefull and dont kill things but Liney killed Curley's wife and a dog. It was better for Liney to die than for Liney to kill more innocent people or animals.

If George did not kill Liney then Liney could have killed the men who were hunting him.But those men were doing the right thing so if Liney would have killed those men then he would been doing more wrong.George probably saved many from going to hell ,because if he let Liney live liney would have committed more crimes and
