Federalist always believed in a strong central government and wanted state powers to themselves and also agreed with the division of our government into three branches. Monarchy and Anti-Federalist would cause hostility in the nation. With a monarchy, people do not get a say in what happens with the government. The Anti-Federalist wanted to keep our government as is, and were against a strong central government.
