Hello Shelly! I have enjoyed reading your thoughts on why compassion fatigue is so dangerous, especially in this profession. You made a very strong statement that really hit home for me personally. Are you explained it Christians have a desire to fix things for those who are in crisis. This is so very true, and it's almost like we become superheroes. We feel like we have to fix everything, and if we cannot fix it we have the resources to help get it fixed. Yes, it is impossible to help everyone but we try to make it our mission to try. Constantly trying to help everyone I will eventually lead to burnout. This is why it is so important to set boundaries and limits so you know when to stop.
