Goal 3: Create an activity-based program for the workplace called “Walk This Way”. Objective 1: Coworkers will participate in the activity program at work on their lunch break for 30-45 minutes each day by performing aerobics exercises, sit-ups, and stretches and build upon those activities each day in order to stay fit and by helping the joints move through full range of motion which will enable their muscles to work effectively. Performing the stretching exercises will also increase blood flow to the muscles so they can be physically fit by May 15, 2016. Objective 2: Having a coworkers perform daily weight lifting at their homes when they are sitting watching television for at least 30 minutes each day with 5-10 pounds dumbbell to increase muscle mass which will help burn more calories. They will start slowly with the lightest weight and gradually increase overtime until they reach a manageable weight to help tone muscle to help being toned and fit …show more content…
There can be barriers and challenges that can possibly hinder the successful outcome of these task to lose weight and become healthy. Some of these barriers and challenges are family obligations, work obligations, being embarrassed because of lack of ability to perform exercise task, fear of exposing body image, and feeling exhausted and tired. Having knowledge of cultural awareness helps to be more open minded about others lifestyle, actions, and what they are allowed to incorporate into their lifestyle and their schedule. The goals and objectives might not meet a diverse culture but to meet this guideline we can make changes to accommodate everyone taking part and aiming for common result. There are some cultures that are not able to meet on their lunch break to exercise because they might have to pray, therefore, we would see what other time of the day is appropriate for others and that is
