Concept Cards a Simple Way to Remember The strategy we had to use was the concept cards. The concept cards allow us to go through the chapter in the book and pick out concepts we are unsure about and write them down along with “hints” that would help us better remember them. The process I did for this strategy is after reading I took notes at to what sections I was unsure about and I went through them and found the words I was not sure I completely understood then I took note cards and wrote the words on the blank side. After that I went and looked for the definitions and what they really meant. Then I wrote an original sentence. Next I did my own definition of the word then for some I drew a picture to help remind me what it did. The concept cards helped me, they allowed me to better understand and grasp the concept of the chapter better. The cards are a great study tool they could be used in any class room that there is a lot going on and there are big words you do not know. In writing the big words down and finding out what they mean and how you can find a new way to understand them will allow you to read the text over again and have a deeper understanding of it. Most classes I would use this in are Psychology, Introduction to Athletic Training, and Classical Mythology.
