Introduction
I am Shelbi Gambrell from Meeker, Oklahoma. Meeker has the population of approximately 1,000 people. It is a town that has one major stop sign and ten churches. I went to the same public school since pre-kindergarten. I am currently a sophomore at Oklahoma State University (OSU), majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Child Development. I come from happily married parents of over 25 years and I have one brother that is six years older than me. The following paper will relate Schlock (2010) study of how to apply the dimensions of intellectual disability to my life. It will include the five domains of myself and the supports of my life, which includes who I am as an individual. I will discuss the many human functioning of my personal life that determines the individual that I am.

Intellectual abilities in my life are constantly evolving, while some have been evident. For example, at the beginning of my education, I remember I struggled with phonics and hearing the different sounds that makeup words. To this day, I still struggle with spelling and breaking down a word that I have never heard before. Through extra effort, I have learned that I am an auditory learner and learn by listening to each concept. This explains why I struggle with breaking down words into their sounds, if I have never heard them before. As far has my intellectual ability to reason and plan, I have been blessed with a large picture mindset and enjoy putting all of the pieces together. I will need to take small steps to get
