What specifically Confucian influences can you identify in the Constitution? The Confucian influences that I can identify in the Constitution is proper behavior is their first principle, harmony should be valued, good faith is the foundation of right, every man has his own work and decisions on important matters should be made. Those are the Confucian influences that are identified in the Constitution because Confucius really believed in hard work, proper conduct, respect, harmony and faith on people. This is also true because mostly, the Constitution was mainly based on Confucianism values and statements. Also, the text says in the Constitution of Prince Shotoku, “1.Harmony should be valued and quarrels should be avoided… But when the superiors are in harmony with each other and the inferiors are friendly, then affairs are discussed quietly and the right view of matters prevails.” If you follow what Confucius says, you should add it on your Constitution. …show more content…

Those are the most important values that are established in government because Confucius wanted people to follow the code of behavior and if the ruler lived according to strong virtues, the ruler’s subjects would follow his or her example and a harmonious, stable society would be possible.
