Poe has many connotations in his writing some examples are metaphors, simile or even quotes that are similar to someones feelings. He also used many structures to build up his story. He had a good language that helped him build sort of a poem. Next, he added moods into his story.

One example from the text is that in the text it says " Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before" this means that he is alone and doesn't want to be alone. I understand what he is going threw he is going threw loneliness and thinking about life since he has nothing to do.
