Maurice Charland’s article, Constitutive Rhetoric: The Case of the People Quebecois, can be used to identify the rhetoric device of ideology and interpellation within Malcom X’s “Message to Grassroots” speech.
Charlene refers to Kenneth Burke’s definition of ideology as, “…it is within the bodies of those it constitutes its subjects.
