The first thing that stood out to me most this week was the era of Good stealing which is found in our reading on page 356. It shows that corruption can go anywhere, though history and time and will continue throughout time. People were greedy and crafty. There was much corruption happening and the breakdown of ethics in public life from 1849 to 1861, was on the increase.
