I have many reasons for why I am excited about the trip such as that it is a spanish speaking country, it would be a great experience in another country and much more. At the same time there is a lot about Costa Rica that I do not know much about that I will talk about in this essay. They do go through the same process as over here in the United States in which the President and Vice President are elected every four years by those with the ability to vote over 18 years. Since the current Constitution of their country was put into place in 1949 there have been uninterrupted elections. The current President of the country is Mr. Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera and the two Vice Presidents are Mr. Helio Fallas Venegas and Ms. Ana Elena Chacon Echeverria. They were elected into office last year so they will be in office until March 2018. It is very easy to get an understanding of how the Costa Rican government operates since it has a lot in common with the government of the United States of
