Thinking about the Future
Since I was a little girl, I have always flip-flopped about who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do when I got older. I started off wanting to be a teacher, then wanting to be a culinary artist and so on and so forth. Recently, I have gained major interest in the medical field. Everything about it is interesting to me and I love learning about it. Because of this, I have decided to pursue a career in the medical field. Within the next five years, I plan on attending a university to further my education even more in nursing. I’ve always loved helping people out, so I plan on going to school to get my bachelors of science in nursing because I think it is something I will love and enjoy doing. I’m also hoping to be in a relationship, but not yet married. After graduating from college my plan would be to buckle down, get my own place and start a family.
To help me achieve my goals, this semester I plan on buckling down in both my high school and college classes. This includes making sure all of my homework is turned in on time, studying hard, getting good grades, and never giving up on myself or anything else. I am also enrolled in a health science class at my high school that has helped me further my education of the medical field. Not only has this class given me great opportunities, like becoming a certified nurse’s aide, it has also taught me a lot about myself and what I would like to do with my future.

Lack of motivation is considered a weakness for many students and can severely hurt a student’s grades. Some students may copy or purchase completed essays or assignments online due to lack of motivation. (Strengths p. 2) The biggest weakness to almost all students is procrastination which is finding other small things to do when the student has larger tasks at hand. (Strengths p. 2) Procrastination can include surfing the web, going out to lunch with friends or watching television.
One of my biggest weaknesses is definitely procrastination. I always wait to do things at last minute, which sometimes works out but I feel like by doing this my work isn’t as good as it could be because I rush through it. I feel like out of all of my weaknesses, this will be the hardest to stop doing. According to www.fluentbrain.com, some effective ways to end Brooks 2 procrastination are to plan daily. Decide what you want to get done for the day and do a little bit
