What the Health is a sequel to the documentary Cowspiracy released back in 2015. In, What the Health it shows the relationship with meat consumption to many health issues that lead to death.Diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, obesity, cancers cause about 70% of the deaths in the United States. The World Health Organization has classified processed meats such as bacon and sausages as a Group One carcinogen. Processed meat is in the same group as cigarettes and asbestos. Carcinogens are capable of causing cancer in living tissue. Kip, the filmmaker, travels to parts of the United States to talk different doctors and experts about how they feel on the topic of meat and health. Some examples of health organizations are the American Cancer Society(ACS) and the American Diabetes Association(ADA). The ACS and ADA are supposedly helping people who are sick, but they do the complete opposite. America is in the business of treating sick people, not the business of preventing people from getting sick. They list recipes filled with processed meat and red meat. Funding of these “health organizations” are by Dannon, Kraft Foods, Tyson and many more big names in the meat industry. Kip called these organizations to set up interviews, but later refused when they found out what the interview was about.

I was quite excited to watch this documentary after watching Cowspiracy last year. I had already learned information on what the meat industry was doing to the environment but not to humans.
