Crappie Fishing Tactics Anyone can be a fisherman. However, for someone to catch a plentiful amount of crappie when out on the water, a fisherman must know the basics about fishing. This includes how crappies see, what colors of lures fade fastest underwater, and where crappies live to be successful. The reason a large number of people across America target crappies in the spring is that crappies are one of the cleanest freshwater fish in the world. It is also a great fish to target for young kids because crappies tend to group together, which makes crappie an easy target to get little kids involved. Some great techniques used by some of the best crappie fishermen in the world will help any fisherman catch tons and tons of crappie.
