Everyday jobs such as carpentering, plumbing, and even repair maintenance are singled out due to their unconventional tasks. This, however, is not true. Behind every blue collar worker, lies an unfathomable supply of experience and genuine passion for their craft. In Crawford’s essay, “The Case for Working with Your Hands”, he debunks this preconceived notion of the working class. Through his experiences in the automotive industry, he avows his fellow worker, Fred, as a true scholar.
