The Journal Yosemite is beautiful in the fall, I said to myself while standing next to my father, President Abraham Lincoln. I, Robert Lincoln, came to see my father sign the Yosemite Grant. I loved the crisp wind on my face and the cool, flowing water through my fingers. The best part was seeing the three major wilderness areas. They are called the Ansel Adams Wilderness, the Hoover Wilderness, and the Emigrant Wilderness. The Ansel Adams Wilderness was established as a part of the original Wilderness Act in 1964. In the center of the Ansel Adams Wilderness is the Ritter Range. When I saw the metavolcanic mountains, I knew this was a gift from God. My father said the mountains were commonly known as Mt. Ritters, Banner Peak, and The Minarets.
