This Ted talk is a very inspirational talk, this talk is an idea that slips the minds of many. The concept and confrontation of “Intersectionality”. Intersectionality though has been around for ages has recently sprung to a new high and in this beautiful presentation. Kimberlé Crenshaw uses a blend of rhetorical devices to really illuminate the message. As one who might not know what the word “Intersectionality” means. Crenshaw uses a very emotional approach to a topic that many may people emotionally connected to. This along with the use of facts and the credibility that Crenshaw has being an African American woman. All blend together to make a wonderful and inspirational ted talk that is inspirational and could possibly open the eyes of many. …show more content…
Crenshaw tells the audience to stand up.She asks them as they hear the names of the killed African Americans if there are names they have not heard to then be seated. Before this Crenshaw brilliantly says “the last person standing i'm going to call on you and ask you a couple questions”. The point and the genius of this is to inspire truth telling and integrity. As Crenshaw engages her audience she slowly draws their attention deeper. She does this so you are concerned and you begin to feel emotionally unstable. You begin to question society. The strength of Crenshaw’s entire presentation is Pathos. Crenshaw lures the audience in and at the end of the presentation has a very emotional, expressive almost ceremony of remembrance for this women.
