In the drama Antigone a woman named Antigone is trying to secretly bury her brother who was killed in a battle against his brother in which they both died. The King Creon decided to only bury Eteocles and let Polyneices lay there and he said that any man trying to bury him would be sentenced to death. Antigone was trying to bury her brother so he his soul could go to the afterlife. She was then caught and sentenced to death and the king stated that no one could persuade him from his decision. After he made this decision Creon’s son Haimon went to speak to his father because Antigone was his future wife. Haimon tried to convince his father to go back on his decision. He told him how he can't be so stubborn and not listen to anyone else's
