Crispus Attucks was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1723 and Died on March 5 in Boston, Massachusetts in 1770. Through birth he was born into slavery. He was believed to be the Son of Prince Younger,who was a slave shipped to America from Africa. His mother was Nancy Attucks who was a Natick Indian. Most things known about him are that he was the first person to fall in the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770.

Crispus Attucks was the first African American hero in the Revolutionary War. He was in the front line group of 50 patriots refusing to obey the british when out of nowhere shots had been fired. Crispus Attucks sadly was the first person shot and killed with two bullets blown into his chest. During that night four men had died and six were wounded. Crispus Attucks an African American patriot represents 5,000 African American soldiers who fought to have America independent and today we know that night as The Boston Massacre.

His role was to help along side with the patriots to fight against the british because he said that he was looking for work. People still wonder if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and did he die for freedom. Later on after the Massacre 10,000 people came to a funeral to honor the five men that were killed. To everyone The Boston Massacre was very important to the citizens of Boston. Crispus Attucks later on got fame as a hero by having his picture taken back then which was called Chromolithography.

The death of Crispus Attucks happened when a group of sailors including Crispus Attucks threw stuff at British Soldiers, trying to help stop them for independence. The situation then started to get out of control when the british soldiers started to shoot the them. Samuel Gray, Samuel Maverick, James Coldwell, Patrick Carr, and Crispus Attucks were all shot on march 5, 1770 that night. In 1888 a large monument for them was made in the Boston
