Heartland Career Center offers a program called Criminal Justice (CMJ) taught by Leroy Striker. Students enrolled in the Criminal Justice program attend 5 days a week for approximately 3 hours. Introduction to Criminal Justice is in the first semester of the class. They work on multiple book assignments, and papers. The class will also take educational field trips that will require them to write compare and contrast papers about that field trip and how it related to Criminal Justice. Interviews are also a part of the class to help students with public speaking in the first year. Also in the first year of this program Criminal Investigation is offered in the second semester. In the second year of this program Criminology and Traffic Law is offered.
