Definition of Critical Thinking Critical thinking is how I see situations from all points of view, come up with my view about them, and analyze solutions. Thinking critically is analyzing my views and other people’s views to be more open-minded to different responses. Thinking is being able to think with reason, it isn’t as deep as critical thinking. Critical thinking is more in-depth, to see all aspects of a problem or solution to decide the best action to take. How to better the decision-making process and learn from others. I gain knowledge from critical thinking by boarding my scope of thinking, but I can also lose the sight of how critical thinking can be used. I can become selfish in ways that I think and come up with a conclusion that there is no other way to view a situation.
I need to conceptualize to see the picture, this helps when critical thinking strategies take place. In the military, I use the “military decision-making process” to decide the best routes, and ideas to use in my everyday operations. Examples include when I was deployed. The term analyze relates to my definition of critical thinking is that to think in-depth. Evaluate the best course of action to set consistencies and overall discover the best decisions to make, to improve an organization or simply myself. I have to analyze almost everything in my job.
