According to Cuddleback (2016) crisis intervention teams (CIT) approach has been growing concept of the recent years. Currently there is about 2,500 CIT programs across the United States. Kerle (2016), suggest that CIT programs started in because of the a mentally ill person got shot and killed by a police officer. After this happened the citizens of Memphis, Tennessee commanded transformation because of this issue. Kerle (2016), also reported that CIT consisted of five goals to educate and implement CIT.
