This country is a melting pot for having a diverse cultural set of people and the same applies to the health care system in this country. As health care workers, we care for many people of different origin and cultural background, however there continues to be disparities in the care of minorities receive from the health care system in this country. People of lesser economical status and of minority background proportionately receive lesser quality of care than those of higher economical status. Research like this is needed to bring this issue to the forefront so we all can have open discussions about this topic and try to bring about some resolutions for this problem.
