The aim of this report is to show how parental involvement is vital in children's learning in order to provide positive outcomes. The purpose of this report is to highlight the importance of parental involvement throughout children's learning. Parental involvement is when parents are involved within the school in order to help the children throughout the school day and also getting involved after school time by encouraging children to read, learning nursery rhymes and also help with children with their homework etc.

This would ensure that the key activities that are identified in the EPPE are there to help improve children's educational attainment and achievement at school and early year settings.
Parents who are not in full-time work and who need more encouragement in order to be involved in the early home learning show that they are most likely to do less early home learning once their child has started a funded childcare place.
Time was brought to attention by parents as a constraint to the amount of early home learning activities that are carried out with their child. An increase in frequency had shown where parents were working fewer hours than before their child started a funded childcare place. There was also a decrease in frequency both where parents were working more hours or were the child was spending more time at the childcare setting.
