I. One of the most historical and one of the first sports franchises in the national football league and in all of Chicago the Chicago bears are a beloved mainstay of Chicago and will continue to be for generations. Chicago is a city with broad shoulders and they love when the cubs, White sox, Bulls, or Blackhawks do well but, when the bears succeed it is something different the bears are the one tribe that all of Chicago is united under.
II. Perhaps the best way to start off taking about the bears is from the beginning and by that I mean their founder George papa bear Halas one of the original founders of the NFL as well. He was a patriarch of the bears. Maybe the perfect owner for them as well. A. Came from a family of Czech immigrants was a grubiosk at heart and had a gruff demeanor much like the people of Chicago. B. Had one of the highest winning percentages as a coach and second all-time in wins. C. Had the foresight to draft Red grange and he was one of the first stars in the NFL. D. Won 9 NFL titles as a head coach and coached for thirty years second all-time in NFL history
B. the Chicago Bears has the most hall of famers in NFL history and is one of the NFL’s original franchises. They have the most wins all time out of any NFL team. Chicago bear fans have a special relationship with their team. Life in Chicago is hard and people see the way the bears play football hitting each other in the dirt and they can relate to that.
