Individuals who cast themselves on God's grace are considered as the “poor in spirit”. In Toronto certain organizations like The Daily Bread Food Bank, The Scott Mission, and the Hope for Children Foundation demonstrates what the first beatitude means. These organizations go deep into the roots of Toronto and change the lives of those who are physically poor, and make changes to them both physically, and faithfully.
The Daily Bread Food Bank perseveres in devotedly helping others. This non-denominational Canadian charity organization, based in Toronto, Ontario, nourishes thousands of low-income individuals on a yearly basis. The Daily Bread Food Bank is a registered charity that fights malnutrition in our society. Each year thousands of people across Toronto depend on food banks. A distribution center, Daily Bread provides food and support to nearly 200 food programs across Toronto and is the largest provider of food relief in the GTA.
The Hope for Children Foundation provides programs for children threatened of child abuse. United with the Catholic Children’s Aid Society in Toronto, this organization pays for education, intervention and counseling,

This association has the biggest and most impactful effect in Toronto, through its service in our community. Not only is it an organization, but it also supplies aid to other organizations in Toronto. Our group wanted to choose an effectual establishment, and the help that the Daily Bread Food Bank has given our society is more than enough to prove its importance. I think this site demonstrates the spirit of the beatitude because it involves helping those in need. The beatitude says that the poor in spirit are blessed because that look to God for help.
