Dachau Concentration Camp Dachau concentration camp, it was different than other camps in some ways but some details were the same as others. There were many different people in Dachau than just jews. Daily life in Dachau had some different aspects than daily life in other camps. In some ways the people of dachau were treated differently, than how other camps treated their inmates. Work detail was hard and torturous, just like jobs at a different concentration camp. Punishment was awful and painful for the person in trouble, but punishment could have been worse, such as Auschwitz’s punishments. The experiments done at Dachau were inhuman, they killed many of their prisoners, but Auschwitz did more and even more cruel experiments, that make Dachau’s seem like nothing.
There were many different people at Dachau other than just jews. Dachau consisted of gypsies, homosexuals, priests, and of course jews. Crammed with about 32,000 inmates, mainly adult men most of the women and children got gassed. The jews were treated worse than other inmates, they got called “sow jew”, “filth jew” , and “stink jew”, and also got the hardest jobs. Sometimes jewish people got no food,

The prisoners were counted 3 times a day in the courtyard, sometimes they were there all day no matter of the weather, if a prisoner escaped, 10 innocent prisoners were killed. The bunkers where they slept, was overcrowded and gross. For food they got a piece of black bread that was 300 grams, and a sometimes a piece of sausage. Prisoners given coffee or herbal tea, also no lunch. Many prisoners died from sickness, because of the living situation. Inmates also dies from starvation, sometimes they weren’t given any food, and no one cared.
