Dalecia Brown, also known as “Lee” was born on April 6, 1991, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lee grew up Christian; she attended church every Sunday. Her parents were extremely religious. At the age of sixteen, she began to wrestle with her sexual orientation. At this age, there were many hardships going on in Lee’s life; the changes in her made it hard to be sure of what was real and what was just something fabricated by her own mind. Even though Lee didn’t have a rough life, her sexuality put a strain on the relationship with her family. Thomas Brown, Lee’s father, didn’t want anything to do with his homosexual daughter. Nevertheless, Dalecia Brown, my best friend, grew up to be such a respectable, ambitious, and forgiving person.
