PSH Dance Team
Of Penn State Harrisburg

Article I
Name

The name of this club will be PSH Dance Team.

Article II
Purpose/ Objectives

The purpose of this club is to provide an opportunity for students of Penn State Harrisburg to express their love and passion of the art of music and dance to Penn State Harrisburg, Harrisburg, and neighboring cities. It gives an opportunity to students who have a talent in making music and dancing to show off their skills and to learn different styles of dancing.

Article III
Membership

The membership of this team is open to all students at Penn State Harrisburg.
This team shall not discriminate against any student on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, age, disability, marital status, major and/or degree program, political opinions or affiliations, or veteran status.
Membership allows one to vote on and join a committee.

Article IV
Dues

The team will have dues of $5 that will be due within each month of each semester. Everyone will be notified of this before joining the team. The objective of collecting dues is to start the club’s funds and to make the member committed to the team. The dues will then be used towards the uniforms, trips, parties, community service projects, and fundraising events.

Article V
Officers

The officers of this team will consist of a President/Captain, Vice-President/Co-captain, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Committee Leaders.

Article VI
Community Responsibilities

All members present themselves as part of the Penn State Harrisburg community and the communities of Middletown, Steelton, and Harrisburg. They are subject to the rules and regulations set forth in the Penn State University Student Activities Policy, current student handbook, and as well as national, state and city laws. As students, members realize that they represent the University every time they are involved in PSH Dance Team functions on or off campus, and agree to do so in a responsible manner.

Article VII
Funding

The team will have a treasurer designated as the person responsible for the team’s finances. All money collected through dues, donations, or fundraisers are acknowledged as PSH Dance Team funds and will be maintained in a Penn State Harrisburg SGA Club account. No money associated with this team will be held in accounts outside the university.

Article VIII
Elections

Section 1: Members- All members on the team make up the voting counsel. Each member has the ability to run for officer and to vote on a member.
Section 2: Elections- Elections should be held every other spring semester; towards the end of the semester.
Section 3: Qualifications for Offices- All officers must be a registered and enrolled student at PSH with a GPA of 2.5 or above during the entire term of office and at the time of election. They also have to be active within the team. Incoming freshmen
