Cell Phones Cell Phones have become one of the main technological items used today. More than half of the world population owns a cellular device. Since the discovery of cell phones first occurred, it has made an immense impact in our social, physical and economic view of life. Cell phones have become the main source of communication towards health and economic benefits. Of course, cell phones have impacted those who own one in a negative or a positive way. The cell phones that have been created to this day have allowed any individual who may own one to communicate with anyone worldwide. Beth Buczyhski in “The Cell Phone Turns 40: Pros and Cons of a Cordless Life” report said, “ Forty years ago today, Motorola engineer Martin Cooper stood out in the front of the New York Hilton in Manhattan and made the very first call on a mobile phone.” Approximately the very first cell phone was released in 1994 and weighed around two kilograms, which is four point four pounds. Throughout the late 1900’s more than twelve million people owned a cellular device. Furthermore, cell phones have evolved in a much greater use, such as a built in camera, Bluetooth, touch screen access, email and many more incredible features. The education of a child, teenager as well as an adult as increases dramatically over the years thanks to cell phones newest technology. The article, “Pros and Cons of Cell Phones Becoming a Major Part of Children’s Lives” states, “ Many cell phones allow access to the Internet…this can help with studies as well as other simple daily questions..” Internet use on cell phones has given those the advantage to access any questions or information that is needed. Due to Internet access on cell phones, people do not have to worry about carrying a laptop around or getting worked up if the laptop battery dies. Additionally, the Internet accesses on cell phones allow access to social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. These different types of social media webpages allow an individual to view others options and likes. In addition, one whom follows or likes another individual on these social media webpages may view how they live their everyday life as well what they may enjoy doing. Beth Bvczynski in “The Cell Phone Turns 40: Pros and Cons of a Cordless Life” report says, “ By connecting mobile phones to the Internet…social media sites like Facebook and Twitter make it possible for activist to organize and assemble in the blink of an eye.” Cellular Internet device access has been a substantial advantage for those who may have that feature on their cellular device. Cell phones may be a great advantage for some individuals but some have its glitches. Health risks are one of the main disadvantage cell phones has come to have over the years. Cell phones use radiation in which has been proven to be harmful for those who own one. In the article, “Extensive cell phone use can triple brain cancer risks” written by Devon Staff states, “ The NCL explains that cell phones emit radio frequency energy in the form of non-ionizing radiation.” For instance, radiation waves can come across your skin if the cell phones happens to with you at all times which may cause some serious health risks such as cancer. In the same fashion, Devon says, “If a person carries a phone in their pocket all day long, energy can be absorbed into the person’s side and midsection.” Many of the individuals who own a cellular device are not always aware of the massive health risk cell phones can cause. Cancer is one of the biggest deadly diseases in our planet today. The short article, “More than 15 hours of cell phone use per month may triple brain cancer risk” states, “.. glaucoma and meningioma brain tumors occurred three times more often that normal in patients who used their cell phone extensively in their careers and day-to-day activities.” People who own a cellular device should
