The next morning, I couldn't get to the bus stop fast enough, looking forward to catching up with Dask before the school bus arrived. No one else caught the bus there except him and me. The few moments we shared there together in the mornings got me through the day at school, where I had to pretend he was nothing more than a friend.

I was addicted to his soft touches and sweet kisses, his shy but knowing smiles, his body close to me, and just his general all round hotness, I guess. Since truth be told, Dask was hot, and he was getting more attractive by the day. Last night, when I'd kissed him goodbye, I had to control my kiss from becoming too forceful or demanding. No matter how much I'd wanted him to stay a little longer, or how much I'd

He isn't ready to come out just yet either, and since we both aren't ready for anyone else to know, it makes sense to keep it to ourselves. It just got difficult sometimes to not let people know he was mine.

Rounding the last bend in the path, before it opened onto the lane where the bus stop stood, I slowed down to a walk, so that I could catch my breath. Meanwhile, my heart rate continued to soar thinking of seeing him. I didn't want to be and sweaty when I saw him first thing, or seem over eager.

I looked up to meet Jax's laughing eyes, then clenched my jaw to stop myself from saying anything, and sat down next to Dask. I felt him look at me, but I just stared ahead trying to ignore the current situation. There wasn't much I could say or anything I could do about whatever was going on. I guess this was the secret, though I'm not sure that's all. Jax probably got expelled from his big private school.

Jax snickered to himself. "Look at the two little fairies," he said.

Dask visibly winced.

"Shut up, Jax," I said.

Jax just laughed.

I looked back at Dask and noticed his face appeared tired and worried, and he had bags under his eyes. How much stress was Jax putting everyone through? It made me even more angry with the guy, but I bit my tongue, and caught Dask's eye instead. "You alright? I asked him.

"Why wouldn't he be?" Jax spat.

"I wasn't asking you!"

"Good cause it's none of your business anyway!" Jax said.

"Get lost! I'm talking to my friend."

"Yeah, the friend you want to become your fairy boyfriend."

"Fuck you!"

"You wish,
