In the article ‘How to Fix Politics’, David Brooks gives suggestions for how to fix today's politics. He states that the issue with today's politics is not the politician, but the people that form the respective political parties. From his perspective, he sees that Americans are very likely to discredit or ignore completely a differing political opinion. In his opinion, we can only fix politics if we shrink the impact of them, and by shrink, he means plainly that we get rid of the lifelong politician and the politicians that are born and bred in the profession. After reading the article I feel that the David Brooks thoroughly evaluates his claim, provides distinct and exact points, and is able to prove his point to the reader. Throughout this short article, Brooks explains his concerns with modern day politics. He sees the problems that are occurring in politics and wants to fix them.
