The Triangle which is also known as “The fire that changed America”. This book was written by David Von Drehle who was born on February 6, 1961 in Colorado. He has written a lot of books in his career but this is considered one of his best books. This book is about a clothing factory that was caught on fire on 1911.
The book starts off with the immigration of Russians and Italians. People were migrating from Russia and Italy to United states of America. Russia and Italy were having country issues at that time. Nobody wanted to stay in Russian and Italy. One of the reasons why people wanted to migrate to America was to have better lives. They were not getting what they wanted in their countries because their countries were having a lot of political issues

The tallest ladder they had, covered only 6 floors. They were not able to rescue the people that were captured inside. Within 20 minutes, 146 people died and can never be forgotten. It was the darkest hour in New York.
Max Blank and Isaac Harris were arrested and the prosecutor named Charles Whitman pressed manslaughter charges against them. Max and Isaac had the biggest clothing company. They were also known as Shirt Waist King. Just like other people, they had come to America in 1890 to live American dream life. Because they had arrived only 10, 15 years before this event, they were not too much of American. The judge had gathered a jury against them. Out of 11 people, only 3 found Max and Isaac guilty. Rest of the people said that they don’t think Max and Isaac had any idea about the locked doors. After hearing all the decisions from the jurors, the judge found them not guilty.
If the doors were unlocked and ladders were tall enough to get to the 10th floor, a lot of people could have been saved. Most of the women and kids lost their lives. The youngest person to die in this factory was a 14 years old
