The nineteen twenties was a time full of change and prosperity. People were progressing, technology was evolving, circumstances were altering throughout the United States. The nineteen twenties was a positive time for the United States because there was going to be more advances within the country; more sources of communication; and families were going to develop on their own at a rapid pace. The United States was introduced to modern day electricity and technological advances; these advances changed families’ entire lives. Also, radios were becoming popular as numerous people were able to acquire radios into their homes, and not just being able to listen to them at public places. In addition, families were being able to send their children off to school, and mothers were able to go off and use their leisure time to their advantage; women had more freedoms than they previously had. …show more content…
The citizens lucky enough to live in the cities were introduced to electricity in an earlier fashion than others that lived in the countryside. When introduced to electricity, the people lucky enough to have it were able to acquire washing machines and even electric irons. During this time period, the five power treaty was created and signed. This meant that everyone involved within the treaty agreed to lessen their navies and cooperate with what the document said. This document was created to narrow down the chances of having another world war. When automobiles started to pop up around the country, families could travel easier to different parts of the country, and get around easier.
