The debate of Blasio vs Lhota are very important people in our future in NYC. They are both candidates that are running to be the mayor of our great city. On Tuesdday, October 15,2013 there was a debate between the two of them. They both had great answers to the questions that were asked of them. Many of the questions were very important that was in regard of our safety, future projects, and just our city as a whole.

Mr. De Blasio had a lot of good statements towards some very important questions. One important question he addressed was affordable new housing for people with incomes less than 100,000. He said he plants for “200,000 units of new affordable housing over the next 10 years”. This is something that is affects a huge portion of the people who live in NYC that need new housing so they can live with who they love instead of moving somewhere that they can afford no matter how far. Another question that he addressed was the achievement gap in education, he stated that “ We need to start with early education, lets invest in full day pre-k for every child in the city”. This will help him greatly because a lot of parents will look to this and vote for him especially people who are planning on becoming parents in the future. Another very important point he made was that if he cannot raise taxes on the rich, and the full day pre-k he responded very strong and said “I am positive we will get a pass in Albany because of the public backup we will have for it” this is very important because he sticks to his ideas.

Mr Lhota also had very good points to make. First important thing was the recent biker attack on the west side highway. He said that we need to go to “our next level in policing” he says that we “don’t need to talk and we need to arrest the people who are wrong” and I agree with this. Sitting down with people and talking to them might not set the example you
