1. Taylor is in contradiction of shielding kids from images of violence and sexual nature because it is hiding from reality. I completely agree with Taylor’s suggestion that protecting children from images of a violent or sexual nature can do more harm than good, but only if you overdue it. I believe parents should protect them from violent or sexual images, but it is when you become too strict and overdue it that children become more curious and want to find out- curiosity is number one for most children growing up. Understanding these images or being exposed to them could even just better prepare the child for adulthood and I do not believe it would ruin their innocence. For a cutoff age I wouldn’t know what to say, besides however mature the child is and to the fact that cutoff age minimums for anything (alcohol, movies) will always have children finding a way around them.

4. The media has a small part in violence amongst children and younger individuals but most would have to do with good parenting in my opinion. Yes media exposes a lot of sexual and violent images, but that is the kind of things people want to watch. Parents should be able to tell their children what is good and what is bad, and teach them to be able to make respectable decisions on their own. In the United Kingdom, I remember I used to see a lot of uncensored nudity on television and it didn’t really take away my innocence, just had me better ready for reality.
