Symbols of the Dollar Bill After reading this article, I found the symbols on the dollar bill can mean different things to different people. Americans use symbols to represent values. These values could be things such as freedom, democracy, victory, or independence. I argue that the eye and the pyramid are complex symbols that reflect both negative and positive aspects.
I agree that the pyramids are symbols of hard work, as it takes time and effort to create a master piece. This can be compared to the building of our community and our government. The symbol of the pyramid is also showing that things work hand and hand together because if one brick is out of placed or cracked it will not be a whole. Our government has levels that complete a form of a pyramid.
The symbol of the eye means a number of things too many people. For me I see it as a showing that In God We Trust to show us the freedom and sacrifices that people have done and made for this country. America is keeping an eye out for everyone in this great nation. Being on top is the power and authority that it has for this country.
Just because the eye may symbol looking over you it may lead people to see it as a prisoner because someone is always watching over you. If you think about it someone is always watching over you no matter what you do or say. The President is over someone, principal is over someone, parents are over someone. They all are building blocks to make one a little better and stronger than
