What is freedom? No one really knows. All I know is that when you have freedoms, if you mess up one time, you don’t have all of those freedoms anymore. You always have to earn your freedom back. Like Coretta Scott King said, "Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation." I believe freedoms have to be won repeatedly as well. If you always get your freedoms taken away then you have to earn them back. Freedoms in your house are kind of similar to what I was just talking about. When you start getting older you get a lot more freedoms than you did when you was seven or eight. Once you get older your bedtime starts to change or go away. Then you tend to get a curfew. Once you pass your driver's test you feel like you can go anywhere you want. That isn’t true but that isn’t what I am trying to say. What I am trying to get at here is say you got a speeding ticket. You have to pay the ticket off for one but you also have to go to traffic class… again. Then after that you finally get your license back. So you have the freedom of driving your car to places but if you mess up you have to earn it back. There is the freedom of drinking in the world. Maybe you go to a bar or even just drink at your house. You are not supposed to drink and drive but most people end up doing it anyways. Say you are at a bar, you drink then have to go home but there is no one to give you a ride. You end up driving home yourself. You get caught speeding or you can possibly crash. The cops arrest you for DUI. That will go on your record. Not to mention you have to earn the privilege of drinking back and driving. You have freedoms in your home, your community, and in the world. It seems that if you mess up once for anything you have to basically restart and earn your freedom back. There is no pause button for you to realize what you are doing. I believe freedom has to be won
