Heroe said from the Galician, eroe said from the Italian, and loach said from the Irish. What do all these words have in common? They all translate into one word in English: Hero. Everyone is heroic in one way or another to someone even in the smallest ways. Albert Edward said: “The simple act of caring is heroic” (Albert, Online). Some of these examples of being heroic include having the characteristics such as being thoughtful, courageous, and brave. A hero does not give up and will do whatever it takes to help someone. A hero is someone who is not selfish, they put others before themselves, are self-sacrificing and caring. Heroes do what they do to try and help others. Although, they are certain words to outline a hero, every hero starts as an ordinary person who finds the strength to overcome an obstacle.. “Most of what they do goes unheralded, unappreciated. And that, ironically, is heroism: not to be recognized”(Stone, 64). Although, heroes go unrecognized for what they do, it's because they want it to be that way. Heroes don't want people to think of them in a heroic way during their normal everyday life because they would be treated differently. Some people inspire themselves or set an example to others which can change someone's life in a heroic way. Even the smallest things can be as heroic as the big things like saving a life as said in Oliver Stone’s quote: “Scientist who spend many years of their lives trying to find cures for diseases.
