Integrity is very important to the army and to our everyday life. With out integrity we would not know what was truth and was not. The definition of integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. The meaning of integrity to me is to be honest at all times and to just have moral values to be honest with everything and every single person, because if you do not and you to lie then you can get in a lot of trouble and every thing will trickle down from that one lie. If you had just told the truth the get go you wouldn’t have to deal with all the problems. If you tell the truth the first time you would have just dealt with the consequences and been on your way, but now there is so many more complications …show more content…
Some people become compulsive liars and just can not be honest. Having integrity means doing the right thing in a reliable way. It’s a personality trait we admire, since it does mean a person has a moral obligation that doesn’t waver. It literally means having wholeness of character, just as an integer in a whole number, with no fraction. It means that the person is undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting. It is so hard to be morally straight in the time and world that we live in. everyone and everything around us always fake and false so sometimes we may lie to try and conform with the world that surrounds us. We need to strive to all be better people and somehow find our moral compass. We can not just try and find the silver lining in things or ways just so we feel better about the actions we make, because everything we continue to do has a course that we ride. The phrase “Every action has a reaction” really is a true one. Once we say something and if it is true or not other people believe in you and trust that piece of information that you gave them, so they go and act on the things that you told them and base what they do from that.
