The Meaning of Maturity
The meaning of maturity to me is something that has to be known by the person themselves. Now this may sound unlikely or unhelpful but to me this means the world, let me explain. Maturity is something that is very hard to define as it is could be entirely different for everyone. For your dad maturity could mean having a job and being able to hold it and maintain a nice lifestyle. To your mom it could be that you need to have a girlfriend/boyfriend or be happily married, It's completely different for everyone.
There is a baseline to maturity; it is what is in no way shape or form acceptable and what should always be sought for. For example making fun of someone that has had something quite unfortunate happen to them is immature and rude, while helping a homeless man is very mature and kind. Everyone knows the baseline but it is hard to explain. Good and nice things are generally considered mature while rude and mean things are generally considered immature. I happen to agree with the baseline as it is very true.
Watching a show intended for younger viewers or making a joke is not immature however this is something that a lot of people seem to not understand, as well as the people that are watching the shows and making jokes. Many people will stereotype maturity in a

If the full grown adult from last time, was also a doctor. Would he still be considered immature? He does things that can be considered immature but he also is really smart and helps the world daily possibly in places that are not so great. I would think that things like shows and games should not describe your maturity level as it is basically stereotyping, people should be judged on their maturity level through all of their actions. This means even though most teenagers watch these "super mature" shows. They are not super mature, most of them wouldn't last two weeks with the life of an
