What does freedom mean to you? Freedom can be defined in many different ways depending on one's beliefs, culture, and hobbies. To most people freedom means being able to do whatever you want where and when you want. Also being able to believe and say what you want. According to Google freedom means, “The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint”. People take for granted how lucky we are to have freedom and forget how important freedom is. Everyone has something that makes them feel free. My freedom is field hockey. To me freedom is not just being able to do what you want. In field hockey there are rules and restrictions. Although there are things in the game that you can not do I still feel free when I get on the field. My freedom is restricted by having to go to school everyday, getting good grades, and getting to class on time. If I fail to do any of these then I can't play and my freedom of taken away from me. There are many things that lead up to being on the field that restricts my freedom. When having to deal with sports, school, family, and friends it gets very complicated. It is very stressful to have to keep up with all my grades and work because I have practice everyday and games two times a week. Although there are some restrictions I still feel free when playing field hockey. …show more content…
For me I feel the most free when I step out onto the field hockey field. On game days as soon as I hear the school bell ring I know I am one step closer to freedom. After my coach goes over the game plan with the team and gives us a pep talk and we head out to the field I am already starting to feel free. As the warm up goes on the less stress I feel. As soon as the whistle blows initializing the start of the game my mind is finally free of everything and the only thing i'm thinking about is field hockey. Freedom should be appreciated because you never know if your gonna lose
