What is a close friend? A close friend is a person in whom you can trust, unlike an acquaintance. An acquaintance is a person whom you met, but you don’t completely know, like a close friend. For instance, an acquaintance would be a person who you would just talk to, but a close friend is a person in which you would go and participate in activities with. In conclusion, a close friend is a person who you can trust and whom you would hang out with on a regular basis, unlike an acquaintance, in which you would just say hi to and not hang out with.
