¨I can't believe you're making me go on this stupid trip,¨ Akaika sighed angrily.
¨Oh come on, it'll be good for you Kai. Face your fears for once,¨ her sister, Kalani, exclaimed at a volume a little louder than everyone else around her. Akaika rolled her eyes and slumped down into her airport seat, wishing nothing more than to not get on that plane.

Akaika had a terrible fear of airplanes. Not uncommon, but a real burden when you’re trying to go on a vacation somewhere far from home and she’s crying the whole plane ride there. It’s been years since she’s been on a plane, she’s more mature now. I’m sure she’d only silently whimper now instead of full blown sobbing, as before. It’s obviously having technical problems, and will obviously fall out of the sky if/when we take off.¨
Kalani gave her sister an annoyed look and turned around to the stewardess waiting for the plane as well.
¨Um, excuse me, ma’am?¨ Kalani said with a calmness in her voice.
¨Yes, how may i help you?¨ the stewardess replied happily and in a somewhat forced costumer service voice.
¨Do you happen to know what’s going on with plane or if we’ll be boarding soon?¨
The stewardess paused, asked to be excused for a moment, went to the reception desk and asked the women at the desk a question neither Kalani nor Akaika could hear, and then returned with a large smile on her face.
¨Well as a matter of fact, the plane will be boarding in about ten minutes. There was a small problem with the wing, but nothing to worry about Ma’am just a small fix and you’ll be up in the air soon!¨ she said with the same brightness from before but seemed genuinely happy that she’ll be leaving the airport soon herself.
