Dear Demetrius,

Life in the annex is almost unbearable. I can barely drag myself out of bed in the morning and do my school work, but I guess I can't complain too much. I couldn't imagine having to go through what others outside are doing. Those who aren't as fortunate as us and are living in concentration camps. It's terrible to even think about. I definitely don’t want to talk or write about it, so I won’t. Most of the people in the annex are infuriating, especially Anne. She’s just as I remember from school, Mrs. Quack Quack. Yesterday she stole my shoes and wouldn’t give them back! The audacity of the snare! When I told her to give them back, she ran from me. Of Course, anyone would get annoyed at anyone after long enough
