Denmark is one of the most interesting places in the world. It is one of the oldest countries in Europe. The culture within Denmark can make it very intriguing. They have very interesting food, and customs. Their sports are different from what we play here in the US.. Danish culture is a lot different from US culture. The Danish food, sports, and customs are a few parts of the Danish culture that make it so interesting.
Danish eat a lot of heavy food, for their cold weather conditions. They usually have rye bread for all meals. They usually eat a cereal, yogurt with oatmeal and milk, or they will have white-bread with cheese or jam. For lunch they will eat something like rye-bread with liver pate, cheese, jam, sausages, or anything they can find to put on their bread. They eat food that is a lot different from food that people from the US eat. They eat a lot of meat and bread. …show more content…
The modern game of handball was first played at the end of the 19th century in Germany and Scandinavia. In 1928 the International Amateur Handball Federation (IAHF) was set up on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, following Field Handball to their first World Championship which was played in Germany in 1938. That win lead them to an appearance at the 1936 Berlin Games. Women’s handball was introduced in 1976 in Montreal. The former Soviet Union took home two gold medals in the Olympic Women’s Competition. In Denmark soccer is known as football. There are about 300,000 professional and semi-professional players and 1,614 clubs. The first national league in Denmark started in 1912-13. The National Men’s League played in many international tournaments and best known for winning after beating Germany 2-0. The Danish women’s team also played many International tournaments.
