Although I was told that I would continue to face issues with my teeth due to genetics, the hygienist had been very understanding and supportive. Many people, like me, suffer with dental related problems and live in embarrassment. Due to the fact that our lips conceal our mouth, many people do not view dental issues as a major threat to their health. However, individuals need to be educated on prevention. They need to understand that a routine cleaning and checkup can prevent the toothache and further problems. The shortage of professionals is a major problem in the dental hygiene field. The philosophy behind being a health care provider is way more diverse and intense. It includes giving patients' medication, but it also comprises of moral and psychological support as well. Motivation is also an aspect that pushes patients to fight and inspires them to keep their dental health at its finest. After becoming a professional in the dental health field, I aspire to improve the dental health of as many individuals as I can. I will continue the journey to help patients become positive and confident in themselves and their smile. This will hopefully allow them to live positively without discontent about their oral hygiene. Finally, I aspire to start a foundation of my own for the uninsured that cannot afford proper dental care so they could seek the proper care that they
