Determination or the firmness of purpose ranks high on the list of positive character traits. Many character from To Kill a Mocking Bird show it. Near the start of the book Dill shows impressive determination in luring Boo Radley out. Closer to the end the determination of Aunt. Alexandra shines. Despite anyone’s efforts she always finds a way to proclaim the best option for the family. Last but certainly not least Atticus shows true determination when it truly counts. Despite anyone’s actions he still defends Robinson to the best of his capability. Characters in to kill a mocking bird show many valuable qualities however Dill, Atticus and Alexandra show determination more than any other.

Regardless of anyone’s efforts she always finds a way to manipulate the house to her will. Alexandra’s arrival. Followed up by much lecturing and family talk. Ending with Atticus. Despite the effort of countless men Robinson still enters the courtroom defended by Atticus. Holding a predetermined verdict Atticus stuck to the case. Firmness of purpose shows in these characters’ countess times.
