Did you know that both our genetics and our environment begin to affect our development long before we’re even born, and they continue to influence our learning until the day we die? Although, we were born with nearly the same amount of brain cells we will ever have, our complete brain makeup would take years to solidify as our neural network grows more complex.

First we have Jean Piaget.

After graduation, Piaget headed to France to develop a method for testing children’s attitudes and abilities. While administering these test, Piaget noticed that younger children kept giving the wrong answers to certain questions.
He was fascinated with the fact that children of a certain age consistently make particular mistakes that older children and adults did not. These error that was considered to be childish mistakes by others, was thought to be something more by Piaget. By using the coin and liquid in the glass test, which was ………. Piaget concluded that children/ humans go through specific stages in cognitive development and intellectual progression. Paiget’s main focus was to understand how does knowledge grow?
Paiget proposed that a person grows and struggles to make sense of his/her experiences. So, to understand their develop something that we call schemas. Schemas are concepts of physical things that a person can name like Ipad or shoe; and abstract ideas such as friendship and betrayal. Humans are constantly striving for cognitive equilibrium or harmony, between our thought processes and our environment, which is continuously flooding persons with new information to process and adjust
