Commotion filled the Taylor household. Barbara and Raymond Taylor argued with their daughter, Christine.

"I want to go to that concert with Brandi!" Christine disputed.

“You’re too young! We don't trust Brandi either,” Her mother replied.

Brandi wasn't very sharp. She didn't get as good grades as Christine did and the neighborhood speculated she was around the bend or in other words, crazy.

"Christine Roxanne Taylor! You're sixteen, which is far too young to be going alone to a concert. Stop disputing and go to bed!" Christine's father commanded.

They walked to the Paramount Theater where the Beatles were performing that night.

"How'd you do it to get here?" Brandi asked. Christine had called her to let her know she wasn't going with Brandi. Christine glanced at Brandi.

"I snuck out. I wasn't going to stay home while you went off to watch the Fab Four!" Christine answered.

They fought the swarm of fangirls to get to the front to listen to the Beatles better. The Beatles began with Twist and Shout, a The Top Notes cover. Christine and Brandi swayed their hips to the music. The rest of the fangirls screamed and moved eccentrically. Christine paid attention to the lyrics throughout the night.
